APPRENTICE

Alone at Sunrise

Canon 5dmk4, Tamron 24-70mm at 24mm, ISO100, 1/400 @ f8.  Of the many gems I too away fom John's Advanced course were the two thoughts. "Shoot it, see how it could be better, shoot it again and keep repeating the process" and "Know the rules and then break them."

Thank you John. Made a huge difference to this one!

Thanks Danie! As I say credit to John. My first effort didn't have nearly the impact.

I enjoy the drama and how you left a small foreground and tiny silhouetted subject below, against the expanse of the sky and sea.  It is a juxtapose between the vastness and power of nature against the frailty of human beings. Obviously, the dramatic lighting and the opening in the sky leaves the viewer traveling front to back and back to front. Feature Mr Griffin!
