Chasing African Skies-2

"In mankind's pursuit of wealth and progress, we have managed to confine areas of true wilderness to only a small percentage of the earth's surface. Africa still holds the majority of these unspoiled expanses. However, it is a race against time to end the destruction of nature. If we continue along our current trajectory, soon these scenes of an untamed savanna will only be a blurred memory."

This is my favourite photo from this collection. I like the balance between the single tree against the dramatic clouds. It was also clever, leaving more sky and less foreground, which emphasises the dramatic skies even more; it is almost as if they are threatening the single lonely tree. I also like the saturated feel and the mood created by the strong complementary colours.
