Klipspringer Lookout

This little guy was on the koppie behind our hut and was just getting the last rays of the setting sun. I was amazed at how much detail I was able to recover from the rocks although admittedly it is a bit grainy!

Great storytelling composition! Even though you lifted the exposure in the foreground afterwards, I was wondering why you didn't keep it a bit darker for more mood and atmosphere. The sky is also a bit uneven in this shot, which can be due to various reasons. I would, therefore, love to see the original image to serve you with better advice, so please post the original, unedited pic in a comments box above.

As a general rule, please elaborate on your retouching/workflow processes for us to give you better advice.
